Access Now is proud to work alongside a vast network of partners across civil society, academia, international and regional bodies, and the public and private sectors. We deeply value these relationships and opportunities to engage with others working in our space, and acknowledge the importance of wide-reaching collaboration in achieving our mission.
We routinely collaborate with hundreds of international organizations and NGOs such as Amnesty International, EFF (Electronic Frontier Foundation), and OONI (Open Observatory of Network Interference), as well as regional and local civil society organizations such as Derechos Digitales, 7amleh – Arab Advancement for Social Media, CIPESA (The Collaboration on International ICT Policy in East and Southern Africa), Myanmar ICT for Development Organization (MIDO), Digital Security Lab Ukraine, The Citizen Lab, and European Digital Rights (EDRi).
Among other activities, Access Now works with partners to devise and submit policy submissions, build coalitions, embark on strategic litigation, and coordinate targeted advocacy campaigns.

Access Now was granted special consultative status at the United Nations — as accredited by the U.N. Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) — in 2016. Access Now routinely uses its status to actively engage the U.N.’s principal organs, programmes, and agencies.
Access Now’s 24/7 Digital Security Helpline is the first civil society-focused CSIRT (Computer Security Incident Response Team) to have been accepted as a full member of the Forum of Incident Response and Security Teams (FIRST). Founded in 1990, FIRST is a recognized global leader in incident response, bringing together a wide variety of security and incident response teams and experts from government, academic, and commercial sectors around the world.
